Nearly all indoor areas in the Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department's region went smoke free today.
There is no smoking in offices, businesses and restaurants, except those eateries that have build a special smoking room that has a separate ventilation system with sealed-doors that protect non-smoking customers.
There are a few exceptions, like smoking rooms in motels, bars, and bingo halls.
By 2008, all the exceptions will be smoke free.
All public buildings have already been smoke free.
You can still walk down the street and smoke, but gathering within 15 feet of an opening to a business is prohibited.
