FLINN PLEADS NOT GUILTY IN DOUBLE MURDER |

An Elizabeth man accused of murdering two Wirt County residents appeared in court Friday morning to be arraigned. Forty-five year old Roger Flinn pleaded not guilty to two counts of first degree murder for the April 1st shooting and deaths of 21-year old Russell Eastham and Eastham's live-in girlfriend, 19-year old Sylvia Fittro. If convicted, he could face life in prison, with no eligibility for parole. Flinn crashed through the door of a rural Wirt County residence, killing Eastham and then finding Fittro, shooting them both in the head. Eastham was able to get out of the dwelling, his body was discovered in a ditch-line along Route 14 between Palestine and the Roane County line. Flinn is being held at the North Central Regional Jail.
