| Ella Mae Greathouse Batten, 78, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at Miletree Center, Spencer, after a long illness.
Born in Roane County, she was a daughter of the late Sherman and Lulia Greathouse.
Surviving are her son and daughter, Ronnie Brooks Batten and daughter, Mary Kay Turner of Spencer; brother, Harold Greathouse of Walton; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her ex-husband, James "Dick" Batten; five brothers, Charles, Bob, Ray, Franklin and Ralph Greathouse; 3 sisters, Ruby Carpenter, Marjorie Alvis and Ona Merrill.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at the Slate Memorial Cemetery, Spencer, with Rev. Darrell Alvis officiating.
Stump Funeral Home of Arnoldsburg assisted the family with arrangements. |
