| Garnet M. Sampson, 78, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, died September 26, 2005, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Parkersburg.
She was born September 4, 1927, in Grantsville, WV, a daughter of the late Roma Harden and Ruby Connolly Harden. She was a member of South Parkersburg United Methodist Church and was retired from the Board of Education.
Survivors include a son, Gary Sampson and wife, Chris, of Parkersburg;
granddaughter, Michelle Sampson of Louisville, Ky.; two brothers, Romie
Harden of Canton, Ohio, and John Carl Harden of Chicago; two
half-sisters, Katie Moore of Parkersburg and Lorrena Wilkinson of
Byesville, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Randall Sampson; brother, Bob Harden; and sister, Dorothy Wilson.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Leavitt
Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the
Rev. Rick Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet
Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral
home.
