A man and woman from Millstone were arrested today on drug charges related to the manufacturing of methamphetamine and the possession of an illegal drug.
Joseph Paul Kute, 22, of Millstone was arrested for operating a clandestine drug lab, possession of a controlled substance, and fleeing from police officers.
Kute reportedly ran into the the woods after he had been handcuffed by officers.
Police also arrested Sherrie Lea Davis. She has been charged with operating a clandestine drug lab and possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $20,000.
Authorities searched a mobile home along US 33-119, just east of the Millstone intersection.
Sheriff Carl Ballengee used his police dog, Khan, apparently after Kute fled the scene.
Police are continuing the investigation.
