A female driver was pulled through the windshield of her wrecked vehicle which was resting precariously beneath the road bank just north of Jackson Hill along Rt. 16.

The vehicle, which appeared to be traveling north on Rt. 16, came to a stop against some trees.

The victim, described in her 20s, reportedly suffered a shoulder injury and was taken to Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center by Calhoun EMS.

The Grantsville VFD sent several units to the scene. The accident is being investigated by Cpl. Doug Starcher.

State Police responded to an abandoned car, a 1990 Pontiac, discovered over the hill on Rt. 16 near the mouth of Crummies Creek at 6:20 p.m. The auto reportedly belonged to Gary McCumbers, who said it had been stolen over the weekend.
