The Calhoun Junior Varsity Football team hosted the Doddridge County JV in a close
contest Monday night at Mt. Zion.
Calhoun came up short falling to
Doddridge
22-20.
Eddie Burrows rushed for 180 yards on 27 carries and scored two
touchdowns
and one two-point conversion. Roman Rader rushed for 44 yards on nine
carries and scored one touchdown. Caleb Ball rushed for 7 yards on three
carries.
Calhoun had two 2-point conversions fail which ended up being the
difference
in the game. Passing: Caleb Ball was 1-3 with an eight yard completion
to
Allen Carpenter. Roman Rader and Eddie Burrows were both 0-1.
On defense Calhoun's tackles/solos were: Eddie Burrows with 14/1,
Jeremy
Conley 10/2. Cody Cottrell 10, Jake Wagoner 8/2, Cody Cunningham 7, Caleb
Ball 5/1, Chance Hardway 5, Nick Stevens 4, Josh Parsons 3, Chris Mace 2,
Roman Rader 2, Allen Carpenter 2/1, Randy Proctor 1/1. Allen Carpenter
and Cody
Cottrell both had fumble recoveries.
