This day of celebration is a grassroots effort in conjunction with churches around the state to offer breast cancer education and awareness to their congregations.
The Pink Sunday service will start at 11 a.m. Faye Fitzwater, a cancer survivor will give a brief talk on cancer awareness and her life as a 2 time cancer survivor.
Judy Watson, Community Income Manager with the American Cancer Society, South Atlantic Division will speak after Mrs. Fitzwater, Judy will have lots of information on cancer awareness
and what we can do to help survivors.
All ladies present will be given breast health information packets to help spread the life-saving message of early detection. There will also be a gift given to each lady that is present for this
service. There will be lots of other prizes given away, including door prizes.
Following the service, there will be a worship service by Pastor, Greg Swisher.
Grantsville First baptist Church invites everyone that does not have a regular church they attend to please mark the date on your calender. "Join us for information on breast cancer awareness and in our worship service as we also want to make everyone aware of the free gift of life that is available through our Lord Jesus Christ."
