Doug Davis was relieved yesterday after work was done to solve a long-time water and debris problem
"It finally got done," said Doug Davis of Mill Street, Grantsville. The Town of Grantsville worked last Thursday and Friday fixing a storm drain problem that Davis has been complaining about for two-and-one-half years.
"I think they did the job right," said Davis, whose basement was frequently flooded following each rainfall.
Mayor Neil Blankenship told Robert Petrovsky at last week's council meeting that the job would be done "soon." Petrovsky has been none to happy with the town, saying the problem has existed during two administrations.
"We finally got the money to do it," said the Mayor, who later tendered his resignation to the council.
Davis still has a civil suit against the town and its insurance company regarding damages to his property.
Davis said the town plans to put some asphalt over the troubled area.
