Brenda Hope Cavender, 48, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Wednesday, September 7 at her home.
She was born March 15, 1957, at Charleston, W.Va., a daughter of the late Amos Alfred and Dorothy Pearl White Mullins. She was a homemaker and a member of the Gospel Light Community Church, Clendenin, W.Va. Brenda was kind-hearted and would help anyone in need.
Survivors include a daughter, Lori Looney of Cottontree; a son, Joseph Reed of Grantsville; six sisters, Linda Mullins of Spencer, Venida Hauser of Morehead, KY, Carolyn Carper of Ripley, Drema Herwig of Washington, NC, Sandy Sloan of Amma, and Mary Lou Brown of Nancy, KY; three brothers, Terry Mullins of Littleton, CO, Wayne Mullins of Denver CO, and James Taylor of Parkersburg; several nieces and nephews; husband, James Cavender of Clendenin; stepdaughter, Michelle Nichols of Clendenin; stepson, James Cavender, II of Charleston; granddaughter, Lilly Nichols of Clendenin; and special aunt, Opal Strickland of Beckley.
A graveside service will be held Monday, September 12 at 2:00 p.m. at the Clover Cemetery, Spencer, with Bob Jett officiating.
