Local golfer, Travis Godfrey "struck the first blow" at the Wendy's
Championship for Children on Thursday, August 25th in Dublin, Ohio.
Travis collected several autographs from the pros and enjoyed the day.
Accompanying him were mom and dad, Deryn and Pam Godfrey, cousin
Courtney Mckown, Aunts Chris McKown, Sandy Metheney, and great uncle and
aunt, Ron & Loretta Godfrey.
The Wendy's Championship for Children is a sanctioned LPGA (Ladies Professional Golfers Association) event in which 150 pros competed.
Among the players were 48 of the top 50 players in the world and all the top 10 players.
Travis was chosen for this honor by the Children's Hospital of Columbus, Ohio.
