GAS PRICES COULD STABILIZE AT $3 A GALLON

(08/31/2005)
Gas prices are shooting past $3 a gallon in parts of West Virginia today, although the Charleston papers say there is not a shortage.

Super America and Chevron was selling gas at $3.09 a gallon this morning in Charleston.

All dealers say they are expecting a price increase sometime today.

Long lines were forming at stations where gas prices were "low."

Emergency services in several counties have been experiencing shortages because the gasoline is provided by Ashland-Marathon. AAA spokesman Greg Beheler said today. "Gas prices are going to be right at $3 with taxes. That's what motorists can anticipate."
