Renice Jeanette Whipkey Francis, 60, of Elizabeth, West Virginia, formerly of Five Forks, Calhoun County, finished her earthy ministry and went home to be with the Lord Sunday, August 28, 2005.
She was born in Calhoun County, the daughter of the late Brady and Edith Whipkey. She was a preacher's wife and a member of Esther Circle, Mary Elizabeth Circle, and the United Methodist Women.
Surviving are her husband of 43 years, Rev. Harold B. Francis of Elizabeth; daughter, Melissa D. Francis of Elizabeth; son, Michael V. Francis and his wife Angie of Summersville; three granddaughters, Megan, Morgan and Madilyn Francis of Summersville; three sisters, Hazel Louise Swisher of Parkersburg, Grace Holcomb of Glouster, Ohio, and Carolyn McEwen of Toronto, Ohio; three brothers, Timothy Whipkey of Five Forks, Denzil Whipkey and Roger Whipkey both of Mt. Zion; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Francis was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Swisher of Windsor, NC, and two brothers, Mervin and Denver Whipkey both of Five Forks.
Throughout her life she touched many people in countless ways, she will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, September 3 at the Elizabeth United Methodist Church, Elizabeth, WV with Reverends Carroll McCauley and Greg Auxier officiating. Burial will follow at the Nobe Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 2 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville.
