Record number of Middle School players get ready for opener

The largest number of football players to participate since the opening of Calhoun Middle School have been practicing since August 8th in preparation for the upcoming season.
Thirty-seven 7th and 8th graders, along with their coaches, Tim Moore (pictured left), Chuck Hicks, Tracy Haught, Rex Yoak, and Matt Walker have been hard at work in anticipation of the opening game on Thursday, September 1st with Doddridge Middle School at Red Devil Stadium at Mt. Zion.
Last year's Red Devils fell just short of winning the Central West Virginia Athletic Conference championship by losing a heartbreaker in the championship game to Braxton Middle.
This year's team should once again challenge for the championship, so please come out and support these young athletes.
