A Spencer man who has been "doing business" in Calhoun, Roane and Braxton counties has been sentenced for obtaining goods under false pretenses in Roane and Calhoun.
In Calhoun, Judge David Nibert recently sentenced Robert Allen Starcher, Jr., 22, to the Anthony Center, six months to two years, after pleading guilty to two counts related to obtaining property by false pretenses.
Now a Roane court has sentenced Starcher for purchasing two ATVs and other items with checks written on another persons account.
Starcher bought the ATVs from Brandon Cline and and Brian Harrison, and other items at TJs Swap Shop in Spencer.
Nibert said the latest sentence in Roane could run con-currently for offenses in Calhoun and Braxton.
The judge said Starcher will be required to make restitution.
