Stephen W. Husk, 73, of Palestine, formerly of Warren, OH, died Tuesday, August 16, 2005, in the St. Joseph's Hospital, Parkersburg, following a sudden illness.
He was born March 24, 1932, at Rocksdale, Calhoun County, a son of the late Samuel Clayton and Flora G. Bell Husk. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn E. Carpenter Husk; a son, Stephen Duane Husk; brothers, Leander, Junior, Simon and George Husk; sisters, Dorothy Westfall, Edith Mace and Susie Craddock.
Mr. Husk was a retired 30 year employee of Thermatex, Warren, OH and an Army veteran. He enjoyed fishing with his long time friend, Curtis Hatfield.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Kenny Husk of Palestine, Marvin and Stacy Husk of Hubbard, OH, Ray and Peggy Husk of Palestine; sisters, Leah Thompson of Warren, OH and Jean Webster of Akron, OH; a grandson, Pacey Duane Husk; a step granddaughter, Stephanie.
A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, August 20 at 2:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Emzy Ashby officiating.
Military rites will be accorded by members of the American Legion Post 21 and Irvin F. Conley VFW Post 5783 immediately after the funeral. Burial will be in the Husk Cemetery, Hur.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday. |
