| The Calhoun Commission passed a resolution supporting the efforts of the Blue-Gray Highway group, which is working on upgrading US 33 from Ripley to I-79 at Thursday's meeting.

The courthouse will get some security upgrades, new locks on outside doors and improvements to the TV security system. The commission received a grant for $12,000.
Board president Larry McCallister announced he had been re-elected to the board of the WV County Commissioners Association.
