Clay County's Sheriff, Randy "Walking Tall" Holcomb, was reportedly the target of several exploding bombs last Sunday.
Holcomb revealed the treat before a regional TV camera, saying that he wasn't threatened by such things and would redouble his efforts.
Some of the bombs were detonated before they reached the sheriff by a Clay man who was out picking up soda cans.
Holcomb has taken an aggressive role against meth lab operators since his election, and carries a small arsenal in the back of his cruiser to deal with Clay County crime.
Federal investigators have let it be known they have a suspect, indicating an arrest is pending.
