Tony Arthur is recuperating from burns he received last week when his mower clipped
a gas line on Annamoriah Creek. "He is a very fortunate man" to have survived the
gas-fired inferno, said a family spokesperson.
Arthur could be released next week from a Huntington hospital, but it could be
several months before he can return to work, according to the family. (SEE earlier Hur

"Tuesday he will undergo scrubbing and skin grafting on his right hand and arm,"
according to his wife Crystal Arthur. She said his pain appears to worsen as the
healing process begins.
"He is telling everybody that mows hay with a disc mower to watch the meadows for
gas lines like he hit. Don't depend on the markers to be in the right place," she said.
Mrs. Arthur said the family wants to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers and
phone calls. "We also want to thank the folks who finished putting up the hay," she
concluded.
