| The Fourth Grade Writing Assessment scores for the spring 2005 administration were at the mastery level, according to Greg Cartwright, Director of Curriculum and Instruction for
Calhoun County Schools.
At each of Calhoun County's two elementary schools, 91% of last year's fourth grades were at the mastery level or above. Neither school had any students scoring at the novice or lowest level.
Cartwright said "These scores represent all of the hard work in the area of writing on the part of all elementary teachers as well as a bright future in writing for our students."
