A Martinsburg Police Department news release says that preliminary information indicates that it was an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound.

A 32-caliber revolver was located at the scene and seized. Police would not say what relationship the owner of the weapon has to the boy.

FATHER AND SON CHARGED WITH SHOOTING - Police say a Nicholas County man is charged with kidnapping and murder, while his son is charged with aiding and abetting those crimes.

State Police say 54-year-old Kenneth Michael Belknap of Leivasy was arrested last month on charges connected in the death of 24-year-old Richard Parnell of Summersville.

Police say Parnell was shot and then his body was burned. His remains were found July 26th in Leivasy.

Police says Belknap's son, 19-year-old James Roy Belknap, is charged with aiding and abetting, kidnapping and murder.
