Leonard B. Marshall, 95, of Grantsville, West Virginia, passed away July 12, 2005 at his home following a long illness.
Born at Grantsville, he was a son of the late Robert Melville and Myrtle Simers Marshall. He was a navy Veteran of WWII and was retired from Consolidated Natural Gas Corporation having worked at the former Cabot Station for many years.
He was a long time member and former Vice President of the Board of Directors of Calhoun Banks. He was a member of Eureka Lodge #40 A.F. & A.M. in Grantsville, the Charleston Consistory of Scottish Rite Bodies and Nemesis Temple of Parkersburg. He was a member of Knotts Memorial United Methodist Church at Grantsville.
Surviving are nephews, Jesse Jackson of Big Bend, Roger Marshall of Baltimore, Maryland and Dr. Neill Marshall of New Martinsville; nieces, Virginia Hosey of Lucasville, Ohio, Drusilla Van Doren of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Jeanette Stump of Stumptown; and a special friend, Joe Dennison of Glenville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Trippett Marshall and several nieces and nephews. He was the last member of his immediate family.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 18 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Interment will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery, Grantsville wit Masonic Graveside Rites.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday. |
