BURN VICTIM'S FUNERAL SCHEDULED TOMORROW

Funeral services are scheduled tomorrow for a Roane County woman who died from burns when her Walton house exploded and she reportedly rescued her two-year-old nephew.

The child is still listed in serious condition in the Shriner's Burn Center in Cincinnati.

Martha Jane Nichols, 48, of Walton, died July 9, 2005, at the University of Cincinnati Burn Center, suffering from burns over 80% of her body.

She was born in Sutton, a daughter of the late Gail and Lenore Nichols Frame. She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Kellwood Company, Spencer for over 20 years. She was a member of the Walton Union Church.

She is survived by her husband, Timothy R. Nichols; two daughters, Shannon Harper and Shelly Nichols, both of Gandeeville, W.Va.; a great-nephew, Aarron Hartley, who lived with her as a son; one sister, Mildred Heileman of Albion, Ind.; and three brothers, David Frame of Spencer, Wayne Frame of Parkersburg, and Joe Frame of Burnsville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John Camden Frame and an infant.

Service is 11 a.m. Thursday, July 14, at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer with Revs. Jerry Board and Tim Ashley officiating. Burial will be in the Gandeeville Cemetery.

Visiting hours are scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
