West Virginia residents who receive West Virginia WORKS cash assistance will begin receiving their school clothing vouchers this week.
The vouchers are back to $150 dollars, following a budget crunch last year.
The voucher is good for either the purchase of clothing or piece goods for people who want to make their children's clothes.
About 55,000 WV children will benefit from the vouchers at a cost of over $8 million.
There is an application process if you think you qualify for the school vouchers.
You can apply by contacting your local Department of Health and Human Resources Office or call toll-free at 1-800-642-8589 to request an application.
The deadline for new applications is July 31st. School clothing allowance vouchers must be used at participating stores by October 31, 2005.
