OLD CELL PHONES COULD SAVE A LIFE - New Drop-Off Locations

Most of us have cell phones hanging around that are not used any more. Donating your un-used cell phones will not only help the environment but they can be used by victim's of domestic violence who may need to call 911.

This is a nationwide effort to help both the environment by deposing of the cell phones correctly and victims who may not be safe without them.

The drive will last until September. The Calhoun County Domestic Abuse Response Team, (DART) serviced 388 victims last year, many who had or have no way to call 911 when needed. With your help and your old cell phones you may be able to save a life while helping save the environment.

Drop Off Locations for the month of August are:

Calhoun County Court House, County Clerks Office
Family Resource Network (FRN) Office
Grantsville Food Land
Rev. Margaret Schmitz
Rite Aid
WVU Extension Service
The Domestic abuse Response Team Office

Hats off to the Calhoun County Sheriff & Tax Office, for helping collect the most phones so far.

If you have any questions please call the DART office at 354-9254.

If you are a victim of domestic violence we can help.
