The latest round of veteran's bonuses were handed out yesterday by Gov. Joe Manchin.
West Virginia voters approved a state constitutional amendment last year to qualify military personnel who fought in Kosovo, Afghanistan and Iraq for the bonus.
Three members of the West Virginia Army and Air National Guard were chosen as the first recipients.
Veterans who served in a combat zone receive $600. Veterans who served their country outside the combat zone get $400. And for the families of those soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice, they will receive $2,000.
The governor's office has said they don't want to miss any military personnel who are eligible for the Veterans Bonus.
They're asking people to let them know if there's someone who has been overlooked.
