The Calhoun County Middle-High School Cross Country Boosters Club is seeking
members.
The school board is considering eliminating the program for "financial
reasons" and a strong booster group could help keep the program.
Last year 15 students participated in cross country - more than some other
programs - as the Red Devils fielded a young but talented team. This year
student interest has been high and more than 15 students should participate.
Expenses for the program include the coach's salary, transportation to meets
and meet fees.
A booster could help offset the fees, especially meets fees and
transportation.
