A Mason County woman has been charged with murder for allegedly hitting another woman with her car in Huntington.
Teri Castle, 35, of Glenwood, has been charged with first-degree murder after police say she deliberately ran down a Huntington woman.
The incident took place about 2:30 a.m. Saturday.
Huntington police Lieutenant Mike Albers identified the victim as 37-year-old Lana Hanson. She was taken to Cabell-Huntington Hospital, where she died about noon.
Witnesses told police that Castle was arguing with Hanson from her car as Hanson walked down the sidewalk.
As Hanson went to cross the street, Castle allegedly sped up, hit her with the car and then ran over her.
Albers said he couldn't comment on a possible motive. The incident is still under investigation.
Castle is being held in Western Regional Jail in Barboursville.
