Calhoun High School Principal Greg Cartwright has resigned from his
position to become the new Director of Curriculum And Instruction, replacing
George Ward who recently resigned. The changes were made at last nights
meeting of the Calhoun County Board of Education.
Other Board highlights:
CCACC President Kelley Houchin, speaking for the athletic complex fund
raising group, recommended that Wayne Underwood Field be re-opened this
fall for play, stating the new field and facilities at Mt. Zion will not be up to
par by August.
The Board approved to rescind four positions which had been eliminated by
the Reduction in Force (RIF) requirements.
Don Pitts gave a report on work at the new bus garage and progress on the
athletic complex.
The Board spent about one hour in closed executive session discussing
personnel issues.
Employment of personnel was made and many jobs posted.
