Calhoun Little League held their annual Major League baseball championship game Sunday, June 5 at Arnoldsburg Community Park.
The Arnoldsburg Reds (13-0) managed by Mike Boatright and coached by Eric Hoskins hosted the Grantsville Dodgers (8-5) managed by Matt Walker and coached by Brad Stevens.
The Reds won the game with a score of 10-0. Pitching for the Reds was Ben Laughlin (4 innings pitched) with 10 strike outs. Hitting for the Reds Dennis Dye had a double and a home run, Jordan Panarello single, Ben Laughlin home run, Caden Arnold single.
Pitching for the Dodgers Tyler Walling (2 innings pitched) 3 strike outs and Caleb Robinson (2 innings pitched) 3 strike outs. Hitting for the Dodgers Steven Sims single and Rochelle Gerwig single.
League Appreciation night will be held 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 15th at the Arnoldsburg Park for all T-ball, minor league, little league and jr. league players. Bring a lawn chair. All Star teams will be announced.
