| All newly promoted 9th-grade students and their parents or guardians are invited to the Calhoun Red Devil 9th Grade Academy.
The academy will be held June 9 at Calhoun County Middle-High School from 5:30-7 p.m.
The Calhoun Red Devil 9th Grade Academy is a get-together for newly promoted freshmen and their parents or guardians to receive information to assist with the transition to high school and beyond.
There will be an overview on programs of study and graduation requirements.
There will be a Parent Workshop on how to use the parent's handbook "Coaching Your Student to Success." The handbooks will be issued.
Preparation of students' 2-year plans require a parent or guardian's signature.
Food, games and prizes.
School bus transportation available starting at 4:30 p.m., one north run and one south run, similar to activities bus.
