Authorities arrested the wife of a Roane County man who was shot to death Sunday on Grannies Creek in southern Roane County.

Kimberly Solt Hanna, 34, was arrested without incident at a Kanawha City motel by Federal Marshals, according to authorities.

Hanna was arrested on an outstanding warrant for bond violation for a firearms charge in New Mexico. Authorities said the woman fled the scene following the shooting.

She is currently lodged in the South Central Regional Jail. She will be arraigned for the murder of her husband later today, according to Roane Co. Sheriff, Todd Cole.

Dead is fifty-year-old Randall Hanna, who reportedly died of two gunshot wounds.

Hanna had once lived on the abandoned Hall farm with her husband, and had reportedly gone back there with the landowners' permission to collect some lumber and building materials.

Sources near the scene told the Herald that the couple had been getting materials from an old barn or outbuilding, carrying them closer to the highway.

Neighbors heard an argument and shots and called police, according to Roane County Sheriff Todd Cole.

The couple recently had moved back to Roane County from New Mexico.

A Grannies Creek resident told the Herald that Hanna's body was covered up with a piece of tin, and a woman was spotted nearby in great distress.
