Bessie Arthur Belcher, 79, of Annamoriah, West Virginia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior May 28, 2005 surrounded by her family.
Born in Wood County, she was a daughter of the late Holly Roscoe and Ottis Saltkeld Greathouse.
Bessie was a homemaker and loving mother to her four children, James (Sue) Arthur, Tony (Crystal) Arthur, Sue (Dean) Miller, and Charlotte (Tim) Blair all of Annamoriah.
Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, Randy and Berry Miller, Brian, Brent and Craig Arthur, Cheryl Smith and Amber Boak, Josh, Jeff and Jared Blair; 11 great grandchildren, Emily, Caroline and Brock Arthur, Emma, Lindsey, Tyler and Alexander Miller, Aron and Kaylyn Smith, Joel Blair and Austin Coon; four brothers, June Greathouse of Annamoriah, Eugene, Carl and Garry Greathouse all of Warren, Ohio; one sister, Gwen Gibson of Bristoville, Ohio.
Preceding her in death were her first husband, Ira Arthur in 1992, an infant son, two brothers, Bud and Larry Greathouse, and one sister, Garnet Hess.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 1 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Rev. C.W. McDonald will officiate. Interment will be in the Cooper Cemetery near Annamoriah.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
