The public is invited to to visit "Silver Threads and Golden Needles Gift Shop", located behind the Senior Center in Grantsville, in the former Johnson's Tire Shop.
"Silver Threads and Golden Needles" is a project of the Calhoun County Committee on Aging-Senior Citizens.
The shop will be open during the Wood Festival on Friday and Saturday, June 3rd and 4th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Crafts created by area vendors will be for sale including, candles, denim purses, neck pillows, throw pillows, baby items, bibs, hand-crafted stuffed rabbits, pickled corn and beans, jellies, bird feeders, squirrel feeders, wreaths, and many, many more items to numerous to mention.
Vendors interested in putting items in the shop, may call the numbers listed below and information needed to display will be given.
There will also be home-baked goods for sale, including breads, both regular and sweet, pies, cookies, etc. All proceeds from the bake sale will go to the gift shop.
On Saturday, June 4 a drawing for a beautiful handcrafted nut bowl will be held at 4 p.m.
The bowl crafted and donated by Jim Bell and is made of walnut that is over 40 years old. Tickets are available at the CCCOA Center, they are $1 each or 6 for $5. You don't want to miss getting a ticket on this.

Drop in and visit "Silver Threads and Golden Needles Gift Shop" and chat with the volunteer workers.
The Senior Center will also be serving breakfast and dinner Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon.
