Faustine Stump Craddock, 81, of Baton Rouge Louisiana, died Tuesday, May
17, 2005. She was born in Arnoldsburg, Calhoun County, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fell Stump.
She attended Glenville State College, received a Bachelor of Science degree
from Wayne State University and did her graduate work at MSU. Her teaching
career consisted of positions in West Virginia, Maryland, Michigan and
Louisiana.
Mrs. Craddock was a charter member of the Samaritan Club and belonged to
University Baptist Church. Part of her past volunteer work included the
American Cancer Society, Operation Upgrade teaching of adult non-readers,
and she was a benefactor of Trianon, aiding the mentally challenged.
Preceded in death by her husband, Samuel N. Craddock of Glenville, WV she is
survived by two sons, Samuel N. Craddock, Jr. of Nashville, TN; Jefferson
S. Craddock of Saudi Arabia; two daughters, Sarah C. Morrison, Chargé
d'Affair, US Embassy, Equatorial Guinea; and Jo Craddock-Green of Baton
Rouge; two grandsons; two granddaughters and one sister, Agra S. Fowler of
Ocala, FL.
A memorial service will be conducted by the Rev. Dr. George Haile in Baton Rouge. Interment will be in Glenville at a later date.
