Several folks entered "Who's the best Mom?" essay contest at the Millstone post office, with the winning essay written by Angie Hall of Akron, Ohio.
Hall wrote about a very special lady in her life - Velma Barnes (pictured above).
Postmaster Bev Mullins said Ms. Barnes was notified last Friday, and Mullins presented her with the framed letter and some flowers.
"It was a very hard job selecting the best essay," said Mullins. "I appreciate the time and effort people put into the project."
The other letters were returned so they could be presented to the respective mothers. |
