A former Spencer Wal-Mart deli employee is facing up to one year in jail for eating her lunch without paying at the store's deli.
Wal-Mart has charged Lois J. Brown, 52, of Spencer with petit larceny, claiming she ate food valued at $483 over a period of a year.
Wal-Mart supervisors said employees must pay for their lunch.
Brown has been released on $500 bond.
