Throughout the month of April, your local CPS Units have been committed to spreading the word about child abuse awareness. We hope that you have had the chance to see some of the literature that has been distributed and that maybe you have displayed a blue ribbon to show support for our cause.
Activities this month have included a coloring contest for all
children up to and including 4th grade in Calhoun and Wirt Counties.
We also distributed activity books to all elementary school children in both counties. In Calhoun and Wirt Middle High Schools we offered a Tee-Shirt Design contest. Those winners will be announced soon. In Gilmer County, the Tee-Shirt Design contest was offered in all the schools.
We hope the kids have enjoyed the activities offered them
this year and that they have learned about how to protect themselves and their friends.
