Saturday, April 16 was National Community Service Day.
Many may have seen a group of six young adults along State Route 16 next to the Upper West Fork Park, picking up roadside litter.
David Rogers, Amber Miller, Amanda Alcaraz -May, Alecia Alcaraz-May, David Eagle, and John Villines, spent their Saturday picking up trash. These are just a few of the outstanding youth who are part of the Youth Advantage Program.
Even though the students were picking up litter, they enjoyed cleaning up their community. Approximately 20 bags of trash were picked up on the stretch from the Upper West Fork Park to Oka Road and back to the park.
