Gladolia Mae Anderson, 90, formerly of Palestine, W.Va., died April 11, 2005, at the home of her son, Jack in Washington, W.Va.
She was born June 10, 1914, in Grantsville, W.Va., a daughter of the late Harry and Della Wease Roberts. Gladolia was a member of Nobe Chapel Baptist Church, a member of the Palestine Community Homemakers Club and the Elizabeth Senior Citizen Center.
She is survived by two sons, Emerson (Andy) Anderson and his wife, Joyce, of Mineral Wells and Jackson (Jack) Anderson and his wife, Shirley, of Washington; one daughter, Sharon Williams and her husband, Bernard, of Parkersburg; one sister, Leona Heiney of Grantsville; eight grandchildren, Todd Anderson and his wife, Karrell, Marsha Hornbeck, Sheridan Anderson, Kathryn Anderson, Cynthia Gandee, Allen Williams, Tony Williams and Anita Starling; and 13 great-grandchildren, Chasity and Charity Anderson, Caleb Hornbeck, Leaha Hornbeck, Tristin Anderson, Savanah Anderson, Jason, Jared, Amanda and Andrew Williams and Ryan, Wesley and Brett Starling.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Scott J. Anderson on Feb. 7, 1988; and four brothers, Haven, Roy, Harry and Donald Roberts.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Robert Nicholas officiating. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Additional visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Thursday at Nobe Chapel Church in Calhoun County, with burial to follow in Nobe Chapel Cemetery.
