Lurland V. Stump, 96, of Sand Ridge, West Virginia, passed away April 10, 2005 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Parkersburg.
Born in Calhoun County she was the daughter of the late Coy and Luerna Church Robinson. Early in life she was a school teacher in Calhoun County. She was a former employee of the Calhoun Citizens Telephone Company and was a former owner and operator of Stump Dry Cleaning Company in Grantsville.
Surviving are two sons, Dean Stump of Sand Ridge and Garrell V. Stump of Parkersburg; 1 daughter, Lyla J. Sharps of Glenville; 1 sister, Guinevere Elliott of Marietta, Ohio; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 8 step great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren and 6 step great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin "Gene" Stump; 1 son, Edwin Dewayne Stump; 2 sisters, Gertrude Stump and Greta McGrill; 1 brother, Harold Robinson; 1 grandson, 2 granddaughters, 1 great grandson and 3 step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 13 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Rev. John Vannoy will officiate. Interment will be in the Sand Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
