| Clifford G. Carpenter, 86, of Orma, West Virginia, passed away April 1, 2005 in Marietta, Ohio.
Born in Calhoun County, he was a son of the late Greely and Mae White Carpenter. He was an oil field worker and farmer and was an auto mechanic for Brannon's Exxon at Arnoldsburg.
Surviving are two sisters, Eva Mae Hosey of Ocala, FL and Muriel McCormick of Mentor on the Lake, Ohio; 5 brothers, Joshia Carpenter of Nitro, Harry Carpenter of Mineral Wells, Gail Carpenter of Villager, FL, Joseph Glenn Carpenter of Brunswick, Ohio and Jack D. Carpenter of Selville, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 5 at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Rev. Carroll McCauley will officiate. Interment will be in the Carpenter Cemetery, Orma.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday.
