Twice a year, the Calhoun County Extension Office, in conjunction with its Volunteer Leaders Association and 4-H clubs, promotes a "Truckload Frozen Food Sale. "
Proceeds from the sale go toward the 4-H Camp Fund, which provides scholarships for Calhoun County youths to attend 4-H Summer Camp.
For many children, attending 4-H Summer Camp, without the availability of a camp scholarship, would not be possible. Your purchases provide you with an opportunity to stock up on a variety of bulk frozen fruits and vegetables, and helps youth experience a great Calhoun County 4-H tradition. 4-H Camp is a week of leadership, self-discipline, organized activities, and sharing.
To place an order, complete the order form and mail by May 3, 2005 to Calhoun County Extension Service, PO Box 680, Grantsville, WV 26147. If you need an order form please call the Extension Office, 354-6332 and we will mail one right out to you.
An individual placing an order is responsible for picking up the order on May 20, 2005, 10 to 12 noon at Dominion (CNG) intersection/old CCHS, Rt. 16, in Grantsville.
If you have questions regarding the frozen food sale or 4-H programs, call the Extension office, 354-6332. |
