Fire completely destroyed an old Glenville landmark, the Glenville Presbyterian Church Sunday morning.
The Glenville VFD said flames were coming through the roof minutes after the fire was reported at 8 a.m. The pastor of the church was in an office when the fire erupted.
The pastor told firemen he did not know what started the blaze.
Two Gilmer firemen received minor injuries while fighting the blaze.
All of Gilmer's rural fire departments were summoned, Sand Fork, Troy and Normantown.
The building is located on Church Street near Glenville State College.
A church van parked nearby was also destroyed.
