Ronnah S. Godfrey, 70, of West Second Street, Weston, W.Va., died noon Wednesday, March 16, 2005, at her residence following a sudden illness.
Born Dec. 7, 1934, in Gilmer County, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Orville Sherwood and Louise (Mollohan) Sherwood. She was married 33 years to Donald Jack Godfrey, who survives.
Survivors also include three sons and daughters-in-law, Dana Godfrey and wife, Vickie, of Weston, Robey Godfrey and wife, Leslie, of Frametown, W.Va., and Deryn Godfrey and wife, Pam, of Stumptown, W.Va.; grandchildren, Ian Godfrey, Corey Godfrey, Liza Godfrey, Isaac Jack Godfrey, Alex Godfrey, Kyle Godfrey, Tyler Godfrey and Travis Godfrey; three sisters, Dawn Marks and husband, Carney, of Tuscon, Ariz., Karen Zarp and husband, Thomas, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Sherry Momberger and husband, Carl, of Phoenix, Ariz.; one brother, Vane Sherwood of Normantown, W.Va.; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Danny Sherwood.
Mrs. Godfrey retired in January of 2002 from the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Weston, where she had more than 30 years service as a nurse's aide. She was a member of the Steer Run Baptist Church and the Grantsville Chapter of the Eastern Star. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. today at the Boyle Funeral Home, 322 Main Ave., Weston. Funeral services will be noon Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Robey Godfrey officiating. Interment will follow in the Collins Community Cemetery in Stumptown.
