The Calhoun County Wood Festival is sponsoring the 2nd. Annual Little Mister Woodchuck and Little Miss Woodchuck contest for the 2005 Wood Festival.
Any interested student grades Pre-School through 4th Grade attending Pleasant Hill Elementary or Arnoldsburg Elementary may enter.
The winners will based upon a "Penny-A-Vote." Students may place jars in local stores, sponsor bake sales and collect from family and friends.
All monies must be turned in by May 27 before 4 p.m. to Angie Hersman at Calhoun Realty, Inc. Main Street, Grantsville.
The Wood Festival Committee requests that coins be wrapped. There will be no money accepted after this date, no exceptions. You may turn in money earlier if you anticipate a conflict with the turn-in date.
There will be a donation to each participating school's PTA.
All monies collected will become the property of the Calhoun Wood Festival.
There will be a Little Mister Woodchuck and Little Miss Woodchuck from each school.
Winners will receive a sash and crown, and will be announced Thursday, June 2 at 7 p.m. on stage in front of the Calhoun County Courthouse during Festival week.
Winners will be responsible for riding in the Festival parade on Saturday June 4.
