| Alva E. Starcher. 76, of Doylestown, Ohio, formerly of Cremo, Calhoun County, died March 6, 2005 after suffering a heart attack.
Alva was a frequent visitor to his Calhoun roots, and enjoyed talking about his early days "in the holler."
He was a vet of the Korean War, a 37 year employee as a supervisor at Rockwell International, where he was treasurer of the Rockwell Credit Union. He was a member of the Winning Side Baptist Church and Fraternal Order of Masons.
Surviving, his wife of 56 years, Phyllis V. Stutler Starcher; a daughter, Brenda and several brothers and sisters.
He was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Lee.
Funeral services were held in Rittman, Ohio, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. |
