BARBERTON - Elvin R. Sturm Sr., 77, died Feb. 28, 2005.
Born Nov. 22, 1927, in Richardsonville, W. Va., he was a retired U.S. Air Force master sergeant of the Korean Conflict and World War II, and had been employed as a welder with Babcox & Wilcox, retiring in 1979 after 17 years service.
Preceded in death by his wife, Patricia A. (Sapp) Sturm; parents, William Clarence and Ellie Mae Sturm Riggs; and brothers, Donald and William Sturm, he is survived by his children, Elvin "Pudge" (Patty) Sturm Jr., William Sturm, Richard (Terrie) Sturm, James P. (Jacque) Kerns, Jacquelyn (James) Gombeda, Sandra S. Sturm Mills, Dondi J. (Tara) Sturm; daughter-in-law, Anita Sturm; 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; sister, Penny Marquis; sister-in-law, Lucille Sturm.
Robert Marquis will conduct a memorial service Friday, 6 p.m., at Firestone Park Church on the Rock
