The Calhoun High School Theatre Class presented its first of three character education plays to middle school students, a humorous satire entitled "Do You Mind If I Smoke?"
It featured wacky characters like Mrs. Camel, Mr. Winston, Dr. Lucky Strikes and even the Surgeon General finding their way to the Benson and Hodges Smoking Cessation Clinic.
The play targeted the dangers of smoking and second hand smoke. Tony Richards from the American Lung Association closed out the event with a discussion of the consequences of smoking.
