Thirteen employees from Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center completed Pediatric Advanced Life Support Training (PALS) on February 5 at MHHCC.
The goal of the PALS training was to teach emergency health care providers how to properly evaluate and treat critically ill or injured children.
The employees who attended included Donna Shanholtzer, Melinda Sampson, Jeff Eberbaugh, Patricia DeMaio, Dr. Douglas Bennett, Kim Houchin, Beverly Hall, Estela Holbert, Trudi Anderson, Wesley Collins, Dr. Alfonso Cinco, Dawn Fox and Dr. Zubar Dawlah.
American Heart Association instructors were Penny Straight, Sandra Ellis and Bill Ellis, lead instructor.
Each participant successfully completed a written pre and post test. Mr. Ellis stated this was a difficult course and he commends the staff for furthering their skills and knowledge in emergency medicine. |
